Seay Earthmovers recognises the special relationship tangata whenua have with the lands and waters of our region. We are committed to early and meaningful engagement with iwi and hapū, especially where our work may impact culturally significant sites or natural features.
Our initiatives in this regard include:
- Connection to Nukuhau marae (DIY marae, Raised garden, liaison to rehabilitate Punatekahi)
- Establishing an lwi liaison position (Walter Goldsmith) to explore ways to work towards common goals with Tuwharetoa/Nukuhau
- Offer of services towards Mt. Tauhara project
- Supporters/sponsors of Wairarapa Moana Farm awards
